Abek Community members are working to give hope to their Southern Sudanese families, friends and neighbors who were driven from their village. As the Dinka tribe communities are beginning the trek back home to repatriate their villages,
it is our hope to begin to provide the rudiments of basic human necessities for the people of the Abek Community,

How You Can Help

Education: Abek members in the United States are unable to afford to pay their education fees in colleges and universities. They are absolutely committed to obtaining their degrees, but due to the situation (as refugees, they are not eligible for federal financial aid) they can not make it. Your contribution will ensure they earn their degrees. In addition to the members of Abek Community seeking help in the United States, your offering and members' contributions will make a difference to those children who are eager to learn back home in Southern Sudan. The following are primary needs for ACDP:

In the United States

Tuition Funds - This will pay the school fee for those who cannot
afford to pay their education tuitions in universities and colleges.

In Southern Sudan

School Materials Funds - This fund will directly to pay for academic exercise books, text books, pencils and pens, as well as teachers'
work books and lesson planning.
Building Project of Wernyol Primary School Fund - This fund will
provide all construction materials for the primary school in Wernyol.

Health: The health situation has become a problem with the Abek Community because most of them are working in jobs that do not have medical benefits and some are not working at all. Your pledge will bring much-needed assistance to the members of Abek Community within the United States and in Southern Sudan.

Medical Center Project Fund. Since there is no Medical Center in the Wernyol, ACDP is planning a long term project to build a Medical Center in the area. The Medical center will provide medical care for those who are injured or ill and will raise awareness of diseases such as AIDS, Cholera, and other serious diseases.

Medical Emergencies Fund - This fund will help those who do not have medical insurance in the United States.
